My name is Ganesh Iyer, and I am reaching out to you for support with a heavy heart.

My wife, Manju Pillai, was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2023. Manju, a CA , an alumna of SIES College, Mumbai, worked as a Tax Executive in a private firm in Mumbai. We got married in April 2023. Manju is a loving wife who is the spark and strength of our family.

Manju has been through a life-altering experience over the past year. After a long and difficult journey, she underwent a kidney transplant in Dec 2023, hoping it would give her a new lease on life. However, things have taken a turn for the worse, and her condition is not improving as we had hoped. 

Due to her illness, Manju’s creatinine has been rising to near-fatal levels. Her mother donated a kidney to her, hoping to resolve the issue, but complications arose. Manju is currently admitted to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai.

She has faced multiple setbacks—surgical wounds not healing, acute organ rejection, infections, and intense side effects of medication. She has been hospitalized 5 times since the transplant, and has undergone necessary medical treatments. However, unfortunately, so far, we have not seen positive results.

This week, her creatinine levels shot up again, which is why she is being admitted to Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai today. To start with, Manju will be undergoing requisite kidney treatment after which further course of medicative measures will be decided.

The coming few weeks are critical for Manju’s recovery, and without continued medical intervention, her condition could worsen. Your timely support will help ensure that she receives the urgent care she needs.

So far, we have spent ₹40 lakhs on her treatment through insurance, savings, and support from loved ones, but we have now exhausted these funds. Despite our best efforts, we are struggling to keep up with the medical costs required for her treatment.

The emotional toll this has taken on us is immense. Manju’s resilience has kept us going, but now, we need your help. We are asking for any support, however small, to help cover her medical expenses, including hospitalization, treatments, and post-operative care. Your generosity will make a huge difference.
