My friend M.A. Sudheerdas, 54 year old social worker residing at Koyilandy, Kozhikode District of Kerala, has been bedridden with a serious life-threatening disease of Decompensated Chronic Liver Disease with Hepatocellular Carcinoma. As per the expert opinions of the doctors of a private hospital, Kochi, Kerala, where he has been admitted for treatment, the only measure to save his life is to undergo a Liver Transplantation which costs around rupees thirty lakhs.
Sudheerdas, being an impoverished man living with his ailing wife has already used up all his limited resources for frequent medical checkups and lab tests along with the money borrowed from friends and well-wishers. His wife Saroja is a patient with Parkinson's disease.
