Truck drivers, like Vasanth, help put food and other items on store shelves next to your apartment. On a normal day, he will work long hours - moving goods from city outskirt godowns to your doorstep or neighbourhood kiranas. Even now, 10% of our drivers are doing their bit to deliver medicines and other essential goods.

But due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Vasanth is not able to drive. He is the only earning member of his family of four. Just like him, thousands of daily wage-earning drivers in your city are waiting for the lockdown to end so that they can work again and put essential items on their family’s table.

What does it take to feed a family of four? An amount of Rs 500 for staples, pulses, vegetables, etc. covers their requirement for a week.

Even in this difficult time, we and our bike/truck driver partners have assured the government and other civic bodies of more logistic support when required.
