"Help our children learn with love!"

The journey with LIFI has been a story of hope for Shravan and Mohit. Through the voice driven and engaging  audio lessons both Shravan and Mohit broke the barriers of restrictions (during the pandemic) to achieve their education. They built their own weighing machine (Tarazoo) via the lessons.

Mohit and Shravan were only two among 32,07,13,810 (more than 32 crores) children who got severely affected due to the country wide school closures because of COVID-19 (UNESCO Institute of Statistics).

When we also journey back to 2017-18, which was the so-called “normal”, there were approximately 3.22 crore children who were out of school. With 32,07,13,801 learners getting affected, the problem is that we do not even know the exact number of out of school children now!

The backbone of LIFI are the Youth Teacher Leaders (YTL's) . They are our torch bearers and guardians. From June, we started our LIFI Changemakers' Fellowship with 10 YTLs from UP, Bihar and Haryana!

Through our initiatives at LIFI we have been able to impact 400 + students with 90%+ children learning everyday in the last 12 months.  We have been able to provide 60 + hours of virtual mentorship to our YTLs with 2500+ minutes of academic engagement for our children in 25+ weeks, creating a connected network of passionate teachers and lifelong student learners.

We have also been able to partner with other grassroot organizations in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh which have been and will run our programs to ensure that no child remains out of school in their own local contexts.

LIFI works with the ideology to bring every child out of school, on a lifelong learning path, via launching the LIFI Changemakers’ Fellowship, where we will bring more Youth Teacher Leaders and ensure that via them, we are able to reach out to the last child. Parallely, we want to build an ecosystem for all out of school children and their families via partnerships with other grass-root organizations to support every child, no matter where they are.

How can you help?

Through your contribution we will be able to multiply our impact as the contribution will support the remunerations of our team, residential training for our YTL's and partners, stipend for the YTLs and in community teaching and learning. Given below is the split of the budget (of INR 15,00,000) for the next 4 months:
