It is regarding my father, who met with an accident on 4th June 2018 when a tree fell on him at Dadar. He was injured with multiple fractures and operations were required for the Spine, Hand and Femur. He is currently in a state of paraplegia and restricted to bed with no moments and sense of the lower body and needs attendants for daily functioning. Due to financial constraints, we didn’t go through the hospitals and shifted him to the facility where they provide treatment for such cases. Recovery at home is difficult and results in bed sores on the legs and infections. Currently, I am the only earning person in the house, It become very difficult to afford the cost. Any form of support and information would be appreciated. Looking forward to a positive response. Paraplegia is usually caused by spinal cord injury or a congenital condition that affects the neural (brain) elements of the spinal canal. The area of the spinal canal that is affected in paraplegia is either the thoracic, lumbar, or sacral regions. So, my dad cannot walk or sense and is in a wheelchair completely. And now he remains in paraplegic condition for the past 6 years. But now the situation has worsened and my leg got infected and I need to be hospitalized for multiple surgeries and also need to remove the femur and implant a rod. Doctors had quoted 8 to 10 lakhs for the surgery.
