Kaustubh Kanti Niyogi, 62 year old, is a patient of Chronic Kidney Disease and he is on stage V and requires dialysis. He has Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Acute Left Ventricular Failure. On 13th August 2022 he was admitted in the AMRI Dhakuria Hospital with fluid overload, SOB and Cardiac Failure. Since then he started to have treatment and is on Maintenance Haemodialysis thrice a week and it will be continued lifelong. 

On September 3rd, 2022 he had a sever cardiac failure and oxygen saturation dropped to 72% and again had to be admitted to hospital. He was detected with 90% blockage in the LAD Artery and had Angioplasty where 1 Stent got implanted. After that again he got admitted in AMRI Dhakuria on October 2022 with SOB and was hospitalized for 13 days. 

Then he was given dialysis thrice a week and body was responding well. But on 15th March again he got admitted in AMRI Dhakuria with fever for 7days. Late on fifth day of hospitalisation he developed severe SOB with Saturation 80% and accelerated hypertension, BP 190/90. Then he was immediately transferred to ICU and given dialysis immediately with NORAD cover. He was diagnosed with severe infection where the TLC and CRP levels were too high. He had intravenous antibiotics and antifungals. It created a symptom of Chronic Cardiac Failure and stayed in ICU for more than 3weeks. On 4th April he was transferred to EEDF hospital and again admitted to ICU. After that he had an OT. 

Another OT is planned. It's been 42 days since he got admitted. In the last 7 months, the treatment cost already crossed 20 lakhs and the current hospitalization cost has already crossed 11 lakhs. He is getting better but the treatment cost is also increasing and he had to have hemodialysis thrice a week lifelong. The estimated cost of this current hospitalization is around 15 lakhs and thereafter in a year, the recurring treatment cost will be 8-10 lakhs.
