This is in reference to my complaint to the PMO dated 27 June 2019 in which I wrote to the PM Shri Narendra Modi about the congenital heart condition of my son Kaleem (Kamil), now 9+-month-old, and the response I had received at the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, which I visited with my son (patient) on 25 June 2019.
Following the intervention of the PMO and Ministry of Health’s letter to the Mission Director, NHM, Dept. of Family Welfare, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, I received several calls from Mr. Anwar Siddique (Manager, District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), as well as Mr. Naved. They requested me to visit the centre once again and seek treatment and assured all kinds of support. Mr. Naved also clarified that as it was my first visit, I had to face difficulties to locate the Centre and faced other problems mentioned in my complaint to the PMO. He said there are sign boards to find the centre which I might have missed to see.
I along with my son (patient) visited the DEIC, Aligarh, once again on 20 Aug. 2019. I was provided all kinds of information, support and guidance from the staff, and Mr. Naved, Mr. Anwar Siddique, Dr. Mirza Mohammad Kamran, Dr. Azam Haseen provided all kinds of help and gave assurance of treatment.
My son’s echo test was done and all other procedures followed normally on 20 Aug 2019. The doctors said that the infant requires 2 heart operations. I was asked to re-visit the Centre after one month for further tests and as per doctors’ observations, the operations will be carried out which may take some time due to a long waiting list. But hopefully, it will be done soon, as per the assurance is given to me by the staff.
We thank the PMO for its kind intervention.
I am living below the poverty line and require nearly Rs 200000 for treatment (additional expenses like medication, etc) & care & traveling. Pl. help. The operation is still due and may happen in Dec. 2019 end.
