45-year-old Kamal Gulati, my father is diagnosed with Chronic liver cirrhosis and Kidney failure. This is a condition characterized by a gradual loss of blood and kidney function over time. He was diagnosed with Fatty Liver almost a year ago with water retention in his body ( Means water is holding up in the stomach and fatty areas making body swelled ). For which he needs to undergo a Liver Transplant immediately.
HE HAS ALSO LOST HIS HEARING SENSES (3 M Ago)
We are from Faridabad, Haryana, India. As my father is the only bread earner in our family of four, we've been in really suffering for basic food and shelter needs. We've already spent our savings and a substantial amount of funds over the cause and its treatment. Currently, we are not in the position of bearing further medical expenses.
The cost of Liver Transplant at ILBS (Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi) is provisionally to be around 30 Lacs. At the initial stage, he needs to be admitted to the hospital and get all Pre-Transplant tests and procedures to be done. Things are worsening, he needs urgent care but we are helpless, just due to financial hardships.
It’s been a difficult journey so far. We’ve pooled in all our money little by little to be able to pay for the bills so far. Everyone is my house is doing everything in their power to reach the unforgiving amount required to get me that liver transplant. The cost of the treatment is a staggering Rs. 25 lakh. Nobody in my house has even dreamt of an amount that high. Our world has come crashing down. The cost is unaffordable but I wish I had a choice. Sadly, that’s the only solution I have in front of me right now. That’s my only chance to live. The doctors won’t be able to help me without money.
