We are into the conservation of Traditional Paddy seeds. We have been doing this for the past 7 years. This year we are regenerating 118 traditional paddy varieties. In order to bring awareness about the traditional paddy varieties, for the common man we have organized a Paddy transplanting mela on the coming Sunday in Kozhikode.
The fund will be utilized for
1. Growing, conserving traditional paddy varieties in the fields
2. Documenting the methods of cultivation and harvesting - taking videos, photos, etc
3. Organizing meets like rice parks to spread knowledge and awareness on the rice varieties
