Need help to save my baby Affan zayn
I’m Huzaira Mother of Affan Zayn.
Baby Affan zayn born on July 29 2022. He was born with metabolic issue -
MSUD (Maple syrup urine disease - classic) is a rare and serious inherited metabolic disease.
body cannot process certain amino acids the building blocks of protein.usually bodies break
down protein foods into amino acids.but some amino acids called leucine, isoleucine and valine.
Very high levels of these amino acids are very harmful which creates a unwanted substance to deposit
into the bodies instead of removing. It can be treatable only by doing liver transplant.
Affan was normal until day 10 from the day he born, the problem started from day 11 (08/08/22).
Not taken any feed, faced severe breathing diffculty,was rushed to hospital, intially the doctor was clueless and started intial treatment. with the ventilator support only he breathes.
After 100's of medical examination finally they diagonsed the problem,we are at the edge of our breathe at time of counselling. waiting to hear it from doctor. our world becomes totally dark when we heard that Affan brain got damaged,severe neurological problem, Need to take amino acid free, protein free diet due to which protein defiency will happen, this could followed till end. but we have an option to break through few things by doing liver transplant.

he was admitted more than 60 days in Royal Hospital (Thirunelveli). for further treatment they shifted affan to Dr Rela Institute and medical centre (Chrompet). After consulting with Liver specialist in Rela hospital they planned to shift Affan to Sri Ramachandra Hospital (Porur) to undergone treament with metabolic and neonatal specialist. On october 6 2022, admitted in Ramanchandra hospital. Since then he was undergone tons of medical examination and medication, but the main aspect to gain 5kg for liver transplant was not achieved yet due to the recurrent metabolic crisis. still now he hospitalized, more than 150 plus day he was hopitalized,and getting treatment.
as of today Jan 26 2023 Affan weight was 3.2 kg and he was breathing with the support of ventilator machine. due to cause, post surgery medical treatment may gets prolonged,so the Liver team in Rela hospital hestitating to take him up for surgery. because the cost of which we cant afford to pay for.surgery cost (26.5 lakhs -14 days package from the surgery date) and post surgery medication will cost upto somewhere seats between 60 to 80 Lakhs including surgery cost.
brain damage and neurological problem can be controlled nominally as soon the liver transplant done.
We have already spent 30 Plus lakhs for medical treatment, we dont have any other source to continue with next step.
so with folded hand, we are asking for your help in supporting our baby Affan Zayn.
