Baby Hriday (age 7 months now) is suffering from EXTRABILIARY ATRSIA by birth which is a very rare case. He was treated by the senior most Pediatric Surgeon at Mangalore, Karnataka, India.

After thorough investigation the child was treated with Hidascan, Open Biopsy and Kasai Surgery by Dr. Ganesh Pai and Dr. Anand Pai Mangalore for prolonged two months and referred to Dr. Sanjay Rao Pediatric Liver Transplant Specialist and Dr. Somashekhara H. R. Pediatric Gastroenterologist Narayan Hridayalaya, Bangalore. Doctors have suggested for Liver Transplant within two months to save the life of the Baby and I have prepared myself to donate the part of my Liver.

To undergo Surgery and other Expenses the cost of the Surgery comes to Rs. 18.5 Lakhs (Apprx. USD 26k). and more than Rs. 1 Lakhs for my own check-ups for the donation of the Liver. We were also informed to be hospitalized for 3 months. Moreover we have to spend a minimum of Rs. 15,000 every month thereafter for recovery treatment. So the approximate cost of this whole treatment process will be more than Rs.25 Lakhs.

As we belong to a very poor family and we have spent all our savings for the treatment already and not in a position to bear the heavy medical expenses.
