Hariprasad aka HAPPY, fondly known for his cheerful smile to many of us right from BITS Pilani days took an un-conventional route after graduation to teach students in the last 10 years. While he was happily married and blessed with a child in July 2020 those good moments came to a halt when was diagnosed with blood cancer(AML - M5 with 82% Blasts) in January 2021.
From then on he has been hospitalised for weeks multiple times for chemotherapy at Omega Cancer Hospital, Guntur and tried to fight the battle(emotionally and financially) exhausting all his and his parents savings. Considering the fact that it will possibly take more than an year to recover he was also forced to resign from his teaching job in March 2021 and hence doesn't have any income sources to rely upon. His treatment is still on and has his next hospital admission for chemotherapy in June 2021. Happy is responding well to treatments and hence our contributions at this stage will make a difference.
