Gramin Lok Seva is an innovative, dynamicnonprofit making grassroots organizati devoted to the relief, assistance and
advancement of people in less developedarea of the country. It was formed andmanaged by a group of professionals
engaged in development sector. The administrative office is situated at 27,Guru Shahaya Lal Nagar, Road No-02,Ashiyana nagar Patna-800025. The organisation wish to aware the community especially resistent muslip groups through village level religious cadres to adopt positive behaviour against COVID-19.
Context of the problem
Sprading situation of COVID-19 is very alarming in Bihar. Most of the migrants from highly COVID infected states and countries have returned in Bihar.There are incidences of infected cases in migrants. . Besides, in some religious groups, there are some misconceptions & beliefs regarding covid-19 and are not taking it seriously.Sevaral cases of expression of negative behaviour regarding following standard protocols against COVID-19 has been reported in different religious especially Muslim community. Local religious cadres are also misguiding vulnerable community for not following isolation as well standard sanitation measures.
The resistance against polio and RI in Muslim community was removed by the religious leaders. Prevalent misconceptions regarding corona virus may only be handled through the active support of religious leaders. The PM has also made a call for the intervention.
 
In this context, Gramin Lok Seva wish to organise following activity among resistant groups to adopt precautionary measures against coronavirus :

• Coordination with key religious and faith leaders of all faiths at state/district/block level
• Release of video/appeal by key faith leaders
• One to one meeting with main cadres of religious and faith based organisations
• Capacity building of cadres for abolishing rumours/misconceptions from their society
• Dissemination of audio/written appeal of religious leaders among their followers
• Convincing by local cadres of all religions to their followers
• Making through promotional vehicle in vulnerable and resistant areas.
• Support govt. in identification of suspected cases
• Convergence with development partners working with religious and faith based organisation.

TECHNICAL STRATEGY
Religious and faith based organisation like Imarat-e-Shariyah, Idar-e-Shariyah, Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Khanquah Munemia, Gayatri Pariwar, Prajapita Bramha Kumari, Ramakrishna Mission, Archbishop House churches and affiliate institutions have networks, cadres and followers in every part of Bihar. Besides, there are big religious places of every community at district and block level.
 
The key persons of faith based organisations of state and district level will be requested to release video/audio, IEC (Banners/leaflet) materials to their followers to accept positive practices to protect themselves from COVID-19. The same messages will be propagated by all faiths in their own tone/languages at grass root kevel through different medium. The IEC will also be displayed and distributed. The capacity development of local faith based cadres and surveillance for suspected case will also be done.

Timeline for raising : As soon as we receive fund,we will start activity and be able to persuade resistant group to accept positive behaviour against COVID-19.
