We are Sanchar A. R. O. D from Kolkata West Bengal. We want to raise funds to support girls with disabilities staying in the rural areas of West Bengal.
This Durga Puja supports the basic needs of 50 girls with disabilities staying in the villages of South 24 Parganas and Howrah! This puja let us come together and support the daughters of our country.
In 2021, SANCHAR has completed 33 years of its journey towards a disability-inclusive society. Since 1988, we are working with socio-economically marginalized families including the persons with disabilities, their families, and community stakeholders in the villages of West Bengal through Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) approach to ensure an empowered community where everyone has equal access to health, education, livelihood and social security opportunities for inclusion in mainstream society with equal rights and dignity.
At present we are working with more than 1000 families in Bishnupur-I, Bishnupur-II, Thakurpukur Maheshtala, and Falta block of South 24 Parganas and Panchla block of Howrah District.
Gift a smile to girls with disabilities this Durga Puja!
The lockdown has crippled the economy and snatched away the livelihoods of innumerable individuals. The persons with disabilities and their families have been worse hit.
We are trying to mobilize funds to support the education materials, rehabilitation and therapy classes, sanitary napkins, ration, and Covid-precautionary kits for children and young adults with disabilities living in the remote villages of West Bengal. We are also trying to organize pastel colors, craft paper, drawing copies, storybooks, biodegradable seed pens, and seed pencils. We are trying to help them to engage in a number of creative activities to help them to overcome this difficult time.
Fund utilization:
We are trying to raise 2,00,000 rupees to support 50 girls with disabilities.
(Educational support-1000/- for one month=50,000
Rehabilitation support-1500/- for one month=75,000
{Therapy sessions, aids, and appliances}
Covid precautionary kit-500/-=25,000
Ration kit-650/- for one month=32,500
One new dress for the Puja-250/-=12,500
Two menstrual hygiene kits-100/-)=5,000
How can you join hands with us?
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to confront some of our worst fears. At the same time, it has opened new windows for us to innovate, pool in our resources, and bring about a positive change.
We must come together to support children from socio-economically marginalized sections in whatever way we can.
Please contribute whatever you can. Every penny counts.
Please come forward to support my cause. Any contribution will be of immense help. Do contribute and share this campaign link with your friends and family.
