In India, 88% of women use homemade alternatives to sanitary napkins. These can be the cause of many health problems.
Project Kiah, under ENACTUS UBS, is working towards providing affordable menstrual hygiene to girls and women in need, while also employing and empowering women.
We aim to produce sanitary napkins and sell them at a reasonably lower cost, with a suitable income to the rural women as well. The main goal is to provide opportunities and livelihood to these underprivileged women, enabling them to be financially independent.
However, we require resources to help more communities and families in getting access to our affordable sanitary napkins.
We will use your donations for funding inputs for the production of reusable cloth sanitary pads.
