Hello, I am Ghazala Rauf a gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in India and abroad. Life has come a full circle as I have returned to the small village of Chaqutub, a remote part to Vaishali, Bihar to fulfill my father's dream and effort which made me the only woman from the village to become a doctor and has now evolved to what i consider my duty:  “To serve the people of my village after i become a doctor”

I have set up a small clinic which I use as a base for subsidized treatment and also do free camps and health and hygiene sessions in neighboring villages also. It was very difficult to leave my luxurious life abroad and adapt to minimal facilities and money but the difference I see myself making brings happiness and satisfaction.

As more people have started coming, I want to purchase an ultrasound machine for foetal wellbeing, then have a OT setup for delivery and caesarian sections charging patients very minimal cost ... and if there is enough funds maybe I can even buy an ambulance to bring patients from nearby villages to my clinic. I really want to give people access to modern medicine and also put a stop to some unfortunately prevalent practices in the area such as illegal sex determination and foeticide.

I have put my life’s savings and all my time and effort into this, but still need help to raise an additional 6 lakh rupees for the same.  So please open your hearts and donate because you will make a serious difference to the lives of those who have very little and bring them the precious gift of good health.
