Hello All!
My name is Garvit Mathur and I am from Ajmer, Rajasthan. I have received an unconditional offer letter from the University of Bristol for MSc in Robotics. The University of Bristol stands 58 on the world QS Ranking and it is among the top university for studying robotics. I have completed my B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Mandi in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Management. And, I also have work experience of one year as a Robotic Engineer.
I have always excelled in my studies and always aimed to do better. When I was in high school, I acknowledged my interest in smart machines, and from that time I aimed to become a robotic engineer. I decided to face JEE, which is one of the toughest entrance exams and which require proper coaching. Although I belong to a lower-middle-class family, my parents supported my coaching with their salary and saving, it was a hard time for my family, financially but they still trusted me and supported me. And as a result, I cracked JEE and got admission to IIT Mandi for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
In IIT Mandi, I persuaded my goal to become a robotic engineer. I joined the robotics club there and did my projects aligned with it. But coming to the final year I realized that it is not possible to become a proper robotic researcher with just the knowledge of B.Tech, I aimed to learn more and gain more knowledge. So, I started applying for the best Robotic colleges and got blessed and received an unconditional offer letter from the University of Bristol.
But after that, I faced the biggest challenge, funds. The total expense is around 40 Lakhs and considering my family's finance, this amount is Everest. So I decided to defer my course for one year and joined a Hyderabad based Robotic Startup as a Design Roboti Engineer to gain some knowledge and to save some funds. I completed one year of a job there and tried to save as much as possible. But still, it was not enough. For the rest of the amount, I applied for an Educational Loan. But for that big amount, the bank demanded collateral. I consulted this with my parents and my close relatives and they put their all lifelong earned properties and FD's for bank security. But even with that, I lack around 7 lakhs funds more to complete my graduation there. With these 7 lakhs, my savings and the bank loan amount, I can easily complete my education there without any financial problem.
