    from South Delhi, Delhi

Hello,my name is Fiza. I am studying in Delhi, in class 11th. I was born in Delhi and hence, raised here.I come from an unprivileged family who hardly manage to fulfill the needs with our wants. My father is a tailor while my mother is a housewife. My parents work from the starting of the day to the end without giving any attention to their health issues,to shape their children's future. We are a family of five members. I live in a rented house, with my elder brother and a younger sister with my parents. These days everything has been expensive but still my parents work day to night to fulfill our needs of education.
My parents had nothing, they even long for bellyfulls of food. With this situation they moved from Jharkhand to Delhi in search of better life and food.My parents had a great desire to study but were married earlier at the age of nearly 13-14years, they had to give up with their aspirations after looking at their family's financial condition and became the victim of poverty. But, they want their children to gain the education they weren't given.
The hard time began when the first lockdown was imposed during the month of March and my father was sitting at home continuously for about 5-6 months without any salary and money. We exhausted all our savings and were left with not even a couple thousands to pay our rent. All we had was some 5000-6000rs in our bank which we withdraed for paying our room rent. With this all, he has the responsibility to take care of our grandmother's needs as well who lives in the Village. We hardly managed to fill all the needs, with loans. At the same time I was struggling with my studies. My education was at stake, I didn't have a proper recharge as well as a device but however, I managed to cope with my online studies with a mobile phone shared with me and my sibling for our studies. My brother and I often miss some of the classes because my brother also has classes at the same time as me, we did it turn by turn.Looking at my family's financial condition I didn't ask my parents for a new device because I knew they couldn't afford it. Even after the lockdown , it didn't bring any change to our lives. My father was now being paid less than earlier and it was very hard to manage household items, rent and education. He used to tell us, soon he would get better pay and our family conditions would change. As a girl as well as from a poor family, I faced extreme challenges in terms of tackling social stereotypes such as less education to girls. My mother is the best motivator for us. She always says to us, you are the one who will take us out of poverty and will give us a life we long for. And I want to fulfill her desires of living a better life. Sometimes, they also get convinced with the society but they understand the importance of education in one's life.
My classroom was a TFI classroom, I got the best values and the purest form of education from our fellows. They motivated me and were a major source of my growth.I completed my 10th in a government school but I had to change my school in search of the subjects I'm interested in.Here also, my financial condition came as a barrier. But,I got admission in a private school(Vasant Valley School)with a scholarship by giving a test and an interview. I am really passionate about bringing a change in my society. With this dedication, I worked as a fellow in School of Citizen(A project founded by Ankita Nawalakha, a TFI fellow for bringing change in the society by solving the issue of gender inequality).
With the help of my other fellow teammates, we together launched a booklet called "Gender won't decide my choice" in which I played a role of composing poetry and writing. After this,I worked as a fellow in Alfaaz Fellowship ( founded by Khushboo panjwani and Priyanuj sharma, TFI fellows to help emerging writers by building the pillars of writing into them) My aspiration for changing the world will never change, so I am currently working as a volunteer in The Equality project ( founded by Rupesh Chaurasia, a TFI Student. For bringing a change in the world with equity as a means of Equality).

Because of the pandemic, we were introduced to the online world and methods in alternative to in-person.But, everyone is not born with a golden spoon to afford the new technology and so I am.The project I am working with is running online and the school I got admitted in, is also a kind of online school. Half of my work should be done online. Such as submission of homework, exchange of notes;chapters and other academic works . And I lack resources, the chains of poverty have binded me, my education, my dreams ,my aspirations. And it's really hard without any resources, which I cannot afford.
I want to fulfill my parent's dreams, their desires and want to give them the best as every other person wishes to.Poverty and the desire to move forward has made me ask others for help with financial services to continue my dreams and education.Hence, I need help for the following resources for both the academic years of school :
1) A device (Laptop) to continue my online works such as in projects and school: INR 35,000- 45,000
2) Classroom activity stationery: INR 9000
   (books, printouts, notebooks, pens/pencils etc.)
3) Internet expenses:  10,000INR
3) Tuition classes fees: INR 15000

I request people to help me come out of the barriers of poverty and fulfill the dreams of my parents. If you help a child with their education now, it would contribute to the future of not only her/his but also the future of the upcoming children and the world.
Because, "Children shape the future."
Thankyou
