Dear sir/madam,
My name is Fatema Tambawalla and my parents name is Zainab Tambawalla and Juzer Tambawalla. I study in the J.B Petit High School for Girls, Mumbai in class IX. This year I’ve been selected to attend the annual Seeds of Peace camp in Maine, USA from June 27 to July 18. I’m amongst the fourteen people selected from India to go as part of the Indian delegation 2019. The total fees to attend this camp is 7000 USD. I’m approaching you to help me collect funds to attend camp this year.
Seeds of Peace is a leadership development organization founded in 1993. As its main program, the organization brings youth and educators from areas of conflict to its camp in Otisfield, Maine, USA. It also provides local programming to support Seeds of Peace graduates once they return home. Its mission is to inspire and cultivate new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict by equipping exceptional youth and educators with the skills and relationships they need to accelerate social, economic, and political changes essential for peace. Approximately 350 new Seeds graduate from Seeds of Peace every summer. After camp, the organization runs year-round regional programs for graduates in their home countries that focus on strong relationships across lines of conflict; a sophisticated understanding of core conflict issues; practical skills in communication, critical thinking, and change-making; and the ability to take action on behalf of peace.
To give you a little bit of background about me and my journey as a student,  I have been an avid reader for seven years. My areas of interest while reading include, fiction, nonfiction and history. Over the years my interest in reading has helped fuel my interest in debating. Over the last two years I have been an active participant in model united nations (MUN) across Mumbai and have been recognised at several of them as well. I have secured a strong academic track record and have been awarded the Academic Excellence certificate for the past two academic years, (2017- 2018 and 2018 -2019). I am also the Vice President of the school for the academic year 2019 - 2020. Any contribution from your side would help me attend the 2019 session of Seeds of Peace.
