Hello,
My name is Evita and I have been working as assistant manager for Pan India project at STEM Learning for a year. I hold an unconditional offer to study a postgraduate certified diploma from a prestigious College - Lambton College, Sarnia Ontario, Canada. I got the offer letter in early February this year. I require funds to pursue my further education and enhance my skills and become capable enough to give my parents a life they didn’t have.
After a year of my experience at STEM Learning - A Social Enterprise, I want to expand on my knowledge and thus I chose to study the PGD in Business Management-International Business.
I believe this course is ideal for me as it will help me understand the Global Business Management more deeply. The course covers the Marketing & Accounting concepts, Human Resource Management ( HRM) , Leadership in change Management and Global Market entry strategies, Development of products & services for an International market which I am keen on learning and I plan to put it to use as I continue to pursue Business Management-International Business from an academic bent of mind.
I come from a family where my Father is retired since 2009 and my Mother is a home maker & I have 3 other siblings.Though we had financial constraint, my parents were very supportive - they had a lot to sacrifice Irrespective, they have always encouraged us to pursue our academic pursuits. It was their encouragement which lead me to do academically.
I was fortunate to get a job at STEM Learning - A Social Enterprise as an Assistant Project Manager, Pan India where I could learn and enhance my skills.
It was during my priorities and target that I had to make time and prepare for my IELTS exam and also apply for scholarships in a short span of time.
My efforts paid off with the unconditional offer I received from Lambton College. While it was a happy moment, I was aware that I still need to collect funds as my parents cannot afford the amount. I could collect some amount from my monthly income but it is impossible to gather such a big amount in such short snap of time.
The cost of studying the one-year course at Lambton College is $14,500 CAD ( 854247.53 INR ). I am looking for financial support. And though Lambton College gives scholarship of $3000 CAD (around 176740.87I NR ), the living expense in Ontario would be around $13,980.00 CAD( 823612.44 INR ), bringing the total money required to be around $25,480 CAD (around 1501119.10 INR).
I cannot afford this huge amount for my education but I hope to get help from my loved ones to contribute a generous amount for my education. athe lone earner in the family besides me. Without any external help, it will be impossible for me to go to Lambton College; i I wish to study’s further and make a life for my parents better this is something which I am keen on doing.
The most we can generate is 4-5 lakh rupees after much trouble. Taking a loan is not an option for such a big amount as it would be difficult to pay back my debts.
As an Indian student, like many others, I would also work while I am studying there and earn for my living expenses and second year fee.
Finance shouldn’t be an obstacle for my intellectual and career growth. With my success I can give my parents rest as they are still struggling to make a living and provide us two times meal. I hope to be the bridge between their dreams while I pursue my career in Business Management and continue to create a positive impact through my work.
