How well we educate and empower our girl children will go a long way toward determining whether or not the rest of the world recognises India as a global force. We only have 54 cities with over a million people combined, yet those are the only places in India where you'll find "real" Indians. Even if we don't succeed, we must endeavour to understand and address the magnitude and complexity of the issues plaguing our rural communities. Birth of a girl is still seen as a bad omen, resulting in the deaths of many infants, forced marriages, and exploitation of young women. We believe that empowering women through education is essential for national development and the struggle against injustice. This is our humble attempt to start a movement, and we could really use your help. With your help, this movement will gain confidence and momentum.
