Far away from the hustle bustle of the urban landscape closer to the Jungle, Anshika & Farid walk several kilometers each day. As they travel along the jungle trail with trees and animals all around they look forward to learn how to read and write about the things they see each day.
14 years since the Right to Education, several children like Anshika and Farid from the Taungya and Van Gujjar communities (Forest Dwelling, Nomads) dream of education. The "system" and the neglect have denied these children basic facilities - Books, Pencil, Copy etc. - to pursue their dream of education, thus rendering them incognizant and dis-empowered to fight for their rights.
We at Samanta Foundation have been working with children like Anshika and Farid for a year with limited resources. As the 'Dreams' of the children take 'Flight', so do ours. Our dream is to give them the 'Wings' to 'Fly'. We seek your support in our endeavour!
We are seeking funds for the following endeavors that will help these children realize their dreams:
- Student kits which include school bag, notebooks and stationery.
- School infrastructure like library, book stands, water purifier etc.
- Salaries for teachers and development of educational literature.
