Everything was going just fine when one day. She accidentally fell from a heavily crowded Bengal local. As she fell, no one knew what has happened to her. Then, some of the railway workers at Ranaghat junction came forward to help her and took her to the hospital. From there she was shifted to JNM hospital Kalyani. After the CT scan, we got to know that Debarima has got a hairline fracture in her skull. But the shocking part was that she was diagnosed with 6 blood clots in her brain.
Seeing the situation she was referred to Medica Superspecialty Hospital Kolkata. There the doctors said that surgery, which is an urgent need, can cause 80% of memory loss. It has been 2 days since the accident happened, the girl is still there in the hospital and surgery hasn’t taken place as of now.
The daily hospital bills are nothing less than 1 lakh. Only the bed charges are 60,000.
“She is a girl who will fight anything that comes in her way,” says her mother.

But at this point, all of us are short of funds as the bills are too high for a family of 4 to manage. They just completed a brain surgery that costed us 2.5 lakhs. Right now she is on a ventilator and will remain on the same for the next 2 days. If things go good then she'll be shifted back to ICU bed which costs approx 70k per day.
