“Ever since she found out that she has cancer, she hasn’t been the same. She has stopped going out and barely speaks to us these days. Some days she would sit and silently watch through the window, while other days she would just curl up in the blanket and whimper in pain. Cancer has already ruined my daughter’s childhood, now I cannot let it take her life.”  - Sangeeta, mother

A small injury led to the diagnosis of a life-threatening disease

A few months ago, Sangeeta and Anil's 12-year-old daughter hurt her knee while she was playing at school. The injury, which was supposed to heal with antiseptics, kept worsening. Worried, these parents took their child to many hospitals. But much to their dismay, they couldn’t find a cure.

The injury in her leg kept worsening. It was badly infected and started swelling up. She was in so much pain and we were struggling to find a cure for it. With little hope, we came to Nagpur and we found out she has bone cancer. I still don’t understand how she got cancer. She has always been healthy and never had any serious illness.” - Sangeeta, mother

She needs 18 sessions of chemotherapy and surgery to survive this rare type of cancer

The litte girl was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that majorly affects the arms and legs. The only curative option for this disease is chemotherapy, followed by surgery. As of now, she has completed 4 chemo sessions but its side effects have taken a toll on her body.

“The worst thing about this treatment is the side effects. She has lost her hair. She is losing her strength. And now she has those painful sores in her mouth preventing her from eating or drinking anything. It’s been so hard watching her struggle but there’s no easy way to fight this cancer.” -  Sangeeta, mother

With no income for the past 3 months, Anil is struggling to arrange money for his daughter's treatment

Anil is a daily wage labourer in a small village near Gondia, Maharashtra, and earns Rs 250 per day only, on the days he gets work, to look after his family of four. But for the past 3 months, he hasn’t been to work as he has to travel 160 km every month for his daughter’s treatment.

“The past few months have been very hard. I have stopped going to work and my little girl's hospital trips have become more frequent. We sold our jewellery, cattle and motorcycle to afford the treatment till now. Now I have nothing left while her treatment has just began. I really need your help to afford my daughter's treatment.” - Anil, father

This young girl is silently enduring all the pain, just so that she could get back to her normal life. As Anil hadn't been going to work, he sold everything they had to continue his child's treatment. With no financial support, they are in no position to arrange INR 7 lakhs. They are seeking your financial support to save their daughter
