Having a reliable oxygen supply is currently critical for the care of COVID-19 patients to improve the probability of survival. Supplemental oxygen is a first essential step for the treatment of severe COVID-19 patients.
In the first phase of the campaign we secured funds to bring in 100 Oxygen concentrators with 10 litre capacity. These are expected to arrive in India this week.
Now, we are in the second phase of the campaign – converting a school to a field hospital.
With the help of the Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare and Alshifa Hospital, Okhla, Delhi, we are converting The Scholar School located in South Delhi to a large 50 bed field hospital. This hospital will be equipped with
- Oxygen cylinders
- Oxygen concentrators
- BIPAP machines
- High flow oxygen therapy units
- ECG machines etc.
The concentrators being imported into India will also be partially stationed at this field hospital.
Together, if we act fast, we can save thousands of lives. Make your contribution count in saving lives, donate urgently! Share the campaign widely.
