Jagdish says, “We have begun serving over 800 hot, nutritious meals. These go out to 150 COVID-19 affected families. Additionally, we serve elderly men from a shelter home, children from an orphanage and many migrant families from Nepal and other diverse backgrounds. The request for food keeps coming, I received calls from a few ambulance drivers and police on duty. Even though they are worried about the exposure to the virus and for the safety of their loved ones, they have to carry patients and bodies to the crematorium. They are so happy to receive the food packets, and deeply encouraged to have the volunteers speak a kind word to them."
"The hot food is a reminder of home cooked food", one of the recipients of our meals exclaimed gratefully.
Help us feed more people in these dire times.
