YellowBag Foundation conducts a free Lifeskills development program for 500+ children in Madurai. This is a 40-week instructor-led in-person training addressing Children in urban slums. This crowdfunding is to gift the joy of a nature trip to 50 Children this New Year. Welcome your Participation.

Beneficiary
Gomaspalayam is one of the slums in Madurai. The parents of the children in this area are either housemaids or sewage workers. These children study in government schools and government-aided schools near Gomaspalayam. YellowBag Foundation is conducting weekly sessions from January 2022 to discover the potential of a total of 50 students. Life Skill development classes are conducted once a week for 2 hours. So far, 35 classes have been conducted. The Children have shown a tremendous shift in their social skills and overall confidence levels. We want to cheer them up with a trip to Pannaikadu, a nearby Hill station in Kodaikanal hills.

The Trip (2 days to a hill station)
A field trip would be an excellent opportunity to further strengthen the social skills of the students. These children have not traveled beyond the city. Traveling & stay away from home will increase their confidence and widen their horizon of imagination. On the trip, children will be involved in the following activities:
•Hiking
•Bird Watching
•Group Games
•Star Gazing
•Interaction with Tribes
•Organic Farming

Budget
We need Rs.1000 per child for a 2-day trip. Rs.50,000 is required for a full bus of 50 children.
