With this in mind, The Helping Hands initiative seeks to promote ways for sustaining and promoting mental health and wellbeing among children from low-income families, with a focus on the role alternative treatments may play in academic development and psychological wellness. This programme provides comprehensive information on alternative treatments such as music therapy, art therapy, animal therapy, dance therapy, and others to help raise mental health awareness. The goal of the initiative is to help children's mental health and scholastic development by supporting alternate types of treatment that are frequently underestimated in public discourse.
To do this, a series of workshops with students will be held at the HAQ Centre for Child Rights in Delhi to provide assistance for mental health, to spark a conversation, and provide the children of HAQ Centre of Child Rights with an outlet for their emotions and thoughts in a safe environment.
Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about alternative treatments as a means of enhancing mental wellness, boosting resiliency, artistic expression, and even physical wellbeing. Through the funds raised, we will be able to bring this experience to the children of the NGO and help them benefit from it greatly.
We've reached out to therapists who can lead these professional sessions in a secure environment for these workshops. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will support these therapists and the HAQ Foundation.
