Hello! My name is Diya Choksey and I am the founder of ABC-Advocacy (http://abcadvocacy.net/), a social initiative that aims to promote mental health awareness among children in a manner that is accessible and engaging.

As part of the project, I have authored the ABC Awareness Action Kit, which provides information about common mental health disorders through a case study and reflection activities. Currently, I am working on creating a series of comic-strip style children’s stories that would equip students with the ability to recognise and assist those in their community struggling with their mental health.

During the course of this initiative, I came to realize that along with educational resources, students from underserved communities also require material support. In line with this, I have collaborated with the Pehlay Akshar foundation with the intention of donating copies of our original resources to their students along with helping the wonderful work of the organisation through this fundraiser.

Pehlay Akshar works in the domain of child empowerment and literacy and aims to revolutionize the way children learn and are taught. All the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the initiatives of Pehlay Akshar aimed at the creation of a suitable learning environment for students to thrive in school and in the outside world.
