"I’m Only 5… But I’m Fighting a Battle Bigger Than Me.”
Hi,
My name is Manasriya Das, and I’m just 5 years old. Most kids my age are learning to read, playing outside, and laughing without a care. But I’ve spent most of my days in hospitals—watching needles, hearing words I don’t understand, and asking my parents, “When will I get better?”
have a serious blood disorder called Haemoglobin E-Beta-Thalassemia. It makes me weak, breathless, and in pain more often than I can explain.
My doctors have told my parents that the only curative treatment for my condition is a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). Sadly, I don’t have a matched sibling or related donor, so they’ve planned a Matched Unrelated Donor (MUD) Bone Marrow Transplant instead.
This is my only chance to grow up healthy. But this life-saving treatment is very expensive.
According to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, the estimated cost for the transplant is Rs. 34,75,000.
My parents have already spent Rs. 8,00,000 from their savings and loans. Now, they have nothing left… except hope.
Hope that someone like you is reading this.
Hope that you might help save me.
I want to go to school with a bag on my back—not worry about blood tests or hospital beds. I want to draw pictures of sunshine, not IV drips. I want to smile again.
Please, be my miracle. Your help can bring back my childhood.
No amount is too small. Every rupee brings me closer to healing.
Please donate, and share my story with your friends and family.
With love and hope,
– Manasriya
