I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for help. On the day of my daughter's birth, we noticed a swelling in the lower portion of her spinal cord, which has been growing day by day. After consulting with Chennai Apollo Children's Hospital, it was determined that she is suffering from a rare condition known as "Meningomyelocele," a type of spina bifida.

On December 5, 2021, after further consultations with the doctors, we went to Chennai Apollo Children's Hospital. Our daughter underwent the necessary tests, and the doctors diagnosed her with "Sacral Lipomyelocystocele." She was admitted and underwent surgery on December 8, 2021.

Since July 2022, our daughter has been battling a urinary tract infection with a high fever, which led to the discovery of a urological problem. Further tests have revealed that she has a Neurogenic Bladder, and she may face lifelong bowel and bladder dysfunction, the possibility of cord re-tethering, Chiari malformation complications, limb weakness, and potential surgical interventions at any time.
For her better management and care, we have sought the expertise of doctors at Bengaluru NU Hospital, who have informed us that our daughter is facing a lifelong neurological disability. We now need to continue Clean Intermittent Catheterization and daily Enema for her. She is unable to pass urine and stool normally, requiring assistance every four hours.

Our last hope for her improved health and well-being lies with the specialists at Boston Children's Hospital. However, the treatment costs are substantial, and we are in urgent need of approximately 50 lakh in funding to provide her with the care and support she desperately requires.
We humbly request your assistance in raising these funds through the Milaap Foundation to ensure our daughter can receive the best medical care possible. Your support will make a world of difference in her life, and we are deeply grateful for any contribution you can make.

Please consider donating and sharing our story with your friends and family. Together, we can give our daughter the chance for a better future.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity
