My name is Shumaila Arzoo, and I’m reaching out on behalf of Mr. Bijoy Paul, a 65-year-old man who has dedicated over 20 years of his life as the caretaker of our building in Kolkata.
Mr. Paul is now facing an extremely difficult time. Recently asked to leave his position and the accommodation that came with it, he is left with no home and no family to turn to. He suffers from diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, and lives with a hip implant due to a past accident. His condition is worsening, and he is currently receiving treatment at the Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata, though he has not yet been admitted due to financial constraints.
So far, we have spent ₹50,000 on his consultations, tests, and medications from funds we gathered from personal savings and loans. However, we now urgently need to raise ₹1,20,000 to continue his treatment and cover basic living expenses, including food, shelter, and medication, for the coming months.
We are doing everything we can, but we need your support. Any amount you contribute will go directly toward helping Mr. Bijoy Paul live with dignity, receive proper care, and eventually find a permanent, safe place to call home.
