I am Bhavana from Hyderabad. We are a team of 5 currently working towards Women & Girls safety. We are continuously educating our Women & Girls and making them learn about self defence in our limits until now.
However, we have pledged to take this more further and help our Women & Girls. We planned to teach them self defence techniques to wide range of audience across our state initially. We want to travel and conduct sessions in all possible places like colleges, schools, IT companies, Govt offices, random roadside sessions, small gatherings at communities etc.
Our plan is to teach them self defense techniques when they face imminent situation to save themselves. And also we would like to distribute important products for their safety.
We are going to distribute a kit which consists of Pepper Spray, a book to learn about how to act in situations and techniques and a whistle. Initially we want to distribute these to all, and later we have plans to include more items to this kit like SOS, GPS Tracker, Tasers/stun guns, etc. Since the budget will be high, we are not including these in our kits initially.
Each safety kit will cost us Rs.80 and we would like to distribute these kits to 12,000 Women & Girls in our first phase, which will cost around Rs.9,60,000. Remaining Rs.40,000 will be used for our travelling expenses.
We want to make this a social event and educate as much people as possible. Even though we can distribute kits to only 12k people, we want to teach self defence techniques to maximum number of people. These safety kits will make them more stronger and will improve their confidence in society.
