Hi, this is Chandana SK, aged 23, currently calling for financial help from CMC hospital, Vellore,Tamil Nadu, India. My mother Smt. Bhagyalakshmi, aged 60 years, has been recently diagnosed with Diffused Large B-Cell Lymphoma, an advanced stage blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment in CMC hospital, Vellore.
My mother fell sick with extremely low blood/ platelet counts about 6 months ago and has since been under hospital care for diagnosis, extremely painful multiple bone marrow tests and multiple blood transfusions in top hospitals like Fortis, Bangalore until mid-February 2020. After several months and failed attempts to diagnose in Bangalore, we were sent to CMC Vellore last month. CMC hospital doctors have finally diagnosed her with B cell lymphoma. While she is fighting every single day, the long treatment has severely drained the financial resources of a modest family like ours (almost INR 20 Lakhs since 6 months). We have already spent all of our life savings and stressed our financial resources to the furthest extent. Due to extended hospitalizations, we have had to shut down our small family breakfast business (in a small town, Magadi) which was our only source of income.
She has to now undergo chemo therapy and other supporting tests and treatments as suggested by the doctors. We further need INR 20 Lakh Rupees. We are not in a position to financially secure these treatments and will benefit with any help we can get.
The recent COVID-19 outbreak is also causing further strains in treatment availability as well as financial assistance available from the various charitable organizations.
This is a humble request to please support me as I try to save my mother. Please come forward and donate whatever you can to help save a life. May I also request you to spread awareness of my plea to others as well. Even the smallest contribution means a lot!
