In Indirapuram (Ghaziabad, UP), I have been feeding 10-15 dogs for more than 5 years now. But suddenly, the number has gone up to around 50-60 and is increasing every day as more and more dogs come out starving, their sources of food completely gone. Restaurants, dhabas, meat shops ... everything is closed. The situation is urgent and dire, but giving up is not an option because it is literally a matter of life or death for these dogs.
It is our civic responsibility to take care of our animals, but not everyone can do that directly. So I urge you to contribute, however little you can, to keep the feeders going. Moreover, it serves the public's interest too, to keep the streets safe and avoid any animal deaths, which can then turn into a full-blown public health menace.
So please help me keep the street pooches alive!
