"Aap apna wallet phir bhool gaye"

Bhaiya said these words to me (& more of us) not once, twice but many a time during my college days. Our belongings and wallets were always safe with bhaiya.

Ashok bhaiya has reminded countless girls about the things they forgot in his shop. Sometimes, he reminded us of the course material. Sometimes, he'd extend a sweet smile and a tinge of humour to help during stressful days.

Bhaiya is the best course guru without a 'formal degree' you'd find. If it were not for him, many of us wouldn't have got that last crucial reading/paper when we most needed.

What are his superpowers?

1) An incredible memory: And, this comes in handy when you need your course-material, forgotten wallet or a reminder of which semester you are in! (And yes, if you remember back, we have been lost during those days!)

2) Formula 1 Swiftness: Watching him promptly work through his crazy paper load and deliver the photocopies to us in time made our lives so much easier.

3) Support System: 'Arey ho jaega' (Oh it will happen), So, basically, he'd be our in house psychologist whenever we decided to open up.

4) Helper: Most importantly, Ashok bhaiya always wanted to help. He didn't care which course you were from, what colour your skin was or how polished your English accent was. He was there to help you in whatever manner he possibly could.

Besides being a memory master and a wallet saver, Ashok bhaiya has been an absolute delight of a person. And, every memory I have of college would have a little less sparkle if it were not for his support, humour and awesomeness.

His name, 'Ashok' means 'the one without sorrows' But, these times are quite sorrowful for him. These are challenging times for Ashok bhaiya as his only source of income is the photocopy shop. His family largely depends on his income. He is even looking for new job opportunities because he needs the money asap.

After reading about the beautiful story of Mithlesh bhaiya, I am very proud of my fellow alumni, and current students using this platform, to raise over 2 lakh rupees in less than 48 hours.

I urge you to please help our very own saviour during exam time, orientation time, and literally anytime-our very own, Ashok bhaiya.

Today, can we all look out for bhaiya's wallet?
