Hi everyone, 

This is Deeksha, Daksh, and Udayan and we are raising funds for the urgent treatment of our beloved father, Arun Kumar Singh Rathore.

 

During the last few days, his health declined suddenly. He has been admitted to the hospital with severe respiratory and cardiac conditions. He has been diagnosed with right-sided pneumonia with sepsis, respiratory failure and put in an ICU at Metro Multispeciality Hospital, Noida. His lungs are deteriorating rapidly and will collapse unless an urgent lung transplant is carried out. Once his current situation stabilizes, we are planning to airlift him to MGM Healthcare in Chennai for a transplant. 

 

As children, we want to support our father in the best way possible but supporting his treatment financially is becoming incredibly stressful for us and our family. So far, we have an estimated expense of 20 lakh rupees on his current treatment aimed at stabilizing his condition, which we are managing from insurance and out of the pocket expenditure.  For the transplant, we have provisioned 59 lakh rupees from our savings and assets. We require another 1.75 crore rupees that include the cost of airlifting him to Chennai, the transplant, and expenses towards pre-and post-transplant recovery. A summary of the estimated expenses is as follows (official cost estimates attached):

 

Air ambulance – INR 25 lakh (tentative, based on research and quotations taken)

Pre-transplant investigation and medical assessment – INR 4 lakh (attachment 2/2, serial no.1)

Organ logistic charges – INR 15 lakh (attachment 1/2, serial no.9)

ECMO one-time initiation charges – INR 10 lakh (attachment 1/2, serial no.3)

Treatment during the waiting period before lung transplant - INR 2 lakh per day for 60 days)

This includes ECMO maintenance charges (35,000/day), CRRT (70,000/day), pharmacy, nursing charges. Diagnostic tests, support equipment rental (tentative, see notes in attachment 2/2)

Lung transplant - INR 30 lakh (attachment 2/2 serial no.2 /attachment 1/2 serial no.7)

Post-transplant hospitalization and recovery – INR 30 lakh 

This includes immunosuppressant charges and other medical support that cost around 6 lakhs per month for the first 5-6 months (tentative)
