This is a fundraising campaign for our much beloved friend Arun Kumar Das (Native of Berhampur, Odisha). He is in ICU with mechanical ventilator for last 27days with 100% (25/25) lung infection. Given his current situation, doctors at Utkal Hospital (Odisha) are advising to shift him out of Odisha for ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) treatment & Lung’s transplant, as next steps.

ECMO support will relieve him of the ventilator and give his lungs a chance to heal, automatically in few days. In case of no improvement, lung transplant is the only option available for his survival.

Since, there are no ECMO treatment (expect SUM hospital where all machines are occupied) and lungs transplant facilities available in Odisha; and after doctors’ consultation/advice he is getting airlifted to SIMS hospital, Chennai(https://simshospitals.com/) on 7th Jun, 2020.
