Who are we?
Suneel Pelluru, myself, is the organizer for this campaign and I am working with iDream Education for setting up TABLAB(TABLAB is tablet based digital learning platform. Take a quick look here - https://youtu.be/VXGpSd2pPHw) in the School and Rongali Butchi Appa Rao is the alumnus of this school who did all the ground work working with Government School and also actively involved in this initiative.
We want to raise the educational standards of my fellow villagers in a fun and enjoyable way
How are we going to achieve it?
We want to empower our Government school (ZP High School, Budathanapalli, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh) students in our Rural village, by distributing Tablets with Educational Videos(Everything they need, nothing they don't). We are getting these tablets from iDream Education, a social impact organization. You can follow their projects at https://www.facebook.com/idreameducation/
PFA proposal for 20 tablets from iDream Education. Largest section in the school has a strength of about 100. We are planning to doing it in phases, 20 tablets each time. We have bought 20 tablets for the school already. PFA invoice.
Why TABLAB?
- We want to encourage Students to learn in a fun way by watching videos with beautiful animation.
- There are several hands-on practicals/activities included in the content as well and Students can do these activities and gain practical knowledge. This makes them understand the concepts more easily and since every student gets one tablet, they can easily rewind any number of times until they understand. Since these are not text books, these tablets can be reused by any number of students.
- They have Q&A and Teacher can see reporting on Students Performance in a nice dashboard. It will make life of Teacher and Students much easier.
- There are several books in the Tabs that Students can read anytime.
- This will excite students to attend Schools more regularly, learn easily and fun way.
We strongly believe lot of students will effectively learn this way and it is the future of learning. Many parents want to send their school to private school. By improving infrastructure we can make them send their children to Government school. We are seeking funds for the same cause. Lets make our Government schools great. Please help!
