The very beautiful North-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh remained ignored from the national media coverage even during the pandemic. While the situation has got better in states with a larger population, the state of Arunachal Pradesh and its remotest villages and towns are now facing the surge and continue to face shortages of supplies and necessary medical support.
We at Uddeshya Foundation are beginning our initiative to send medical supplies to the Lower Subansiri district in Arunachal Pradesh. The Lower Subansiri district is globally famous for  Ziro Valley which is the home of one of the rarest Apatani tribes. Ziro has been included in the Tentative List for UNESCO's World Heritage Site for the Apatani cultural landscape. Lower Subansiri district has a population of around 90,000 that includes around 15,000 of Ziro town.

We wish to generate funds for sending more than 2000 Home isolation medical kits which include Oximeters, Thermal Scanners, Multi-vitamin tablets, Sanitiser bottles, Masks etc to the District Administration for its distribution in the Lower Subansiri district. We all need to contribute to preserving the unique town of Ziro and its rare indigenous tribes from the current pandemic situation. The tribals are one of the most vulnerable group in the present pandemic as the majority of Apatani tribe members are Senior Citizens who stand at a higher risk of contamination. India needs to stand strong for our North-Eastern brothers and sisters.
*All supplies will be strictly made to the Government District Administration of Ziro. The process of procurement of kits and utilisation of funds would be absolutely transparent.*
