WE ARE A TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS
Nearly half of India’s population grows up
believing they are “less than” – less than
capable, less than powerful, and less than
equal. 164 million girls in our country are
internalizing of all kinds about their place in
society. Right now. As you are reading this.
Whenever people visit an orphanage or a school most likely
they offer food. Some give books, some may
give used dresses. But what about Inner Wear
for girls? Whom shall they ask? When they ask
care taker, if approved okay. Otherwise asking
again and waiting is so embarrassing and
uncomfortable.
But perhaps the most damaging to their self-
esteem and health are around menstruation. 1
in 2 girls are not educated about periods before
they attain puberty, and only 1 in 5 know about
the science behind periods. Only 12% of
menstruating girls in India use sanitary napkins.
In fact, inadequate use of napkins amongst
adolescent girls is one of the primary reasons
for absenteeism at school. Girls from low-
income families will often miss upto 50 school
days a year.
With a contribution of Rs. 1000 you can help a
girl access:
- a year’s supply of menstrual hygiene products
- a year’s supply of folic acid and iron
supplements
- monthly visits from a doctor
- monthly workshops on health and well-being
as well as identity and confidence
We also conducts some workshops by MBBS
students in schools and other orphanages for
as like awareness programmes after the
pandemic COVID 19 .
For a cost of a couple of coffees, you can start
a young girl on a path towards a healthier and
happier tomorrow. Join us in doing your part to
breaking society's most widespread taboo. Let’s
be the change we want to see!
