Life isn’t fair. This would be an understatement for my 18-year-old friend Ankesh Kumar, who is struggling for his life after suffering a failure of his only kidney that he was born with.
His 40-year-old mother is making the ultimate sacrifice by donating her kidney to her son, his father has sold their only land to raise ₹10 Lacs, but they still need ₹10 lacs more before 12th August to have the lifesaving kidney transplant for their son.
On the fateful night of 5th July 2021, Ankesh suddenly started vomiting badly. He was taken to a doctor where an ultrasound showed he was born with only one kidney! His condition deteriorated quickly and he was admitted to an ICU. Further tests showed that the only kidney he was born with had a failure and he requires an immediate kidney transplant to survive (report attached).
Ankesh’s father, a farmer, spent all of his savings to fulfill his dream of making his son a successful engineer. Ankesh made this dream come true by securing 99.85 percentile in JEE Mains and securing Computer Science department in NIT Calicut where he has completed his first year with a score of 8.3.
Barely an adult with his whole life in front of him, Ankesh is now struggling for his life. The lifesaving kidney transplant will cost ₹20 Lacs but Ankesh’s family has only been able to manage ₹10 Lacs by selling their only land. The operation needs to happen on 12th August 2021.
Please help Ankesh’s family raise remaining INR 10 lacs, so they can save their young son’s life.
