Hi! We are Shraddha and Sejal, and we set up Alpha Angels Animal trust with the motto of always putting Animals First. Pained by helplessly watching countless kittens and puppies being dumped in markets and roadsides, we wanted to do something to make a difference to the stray populations in Goa.

What your donations help us do:
1. Sterilize cats and dogs in the State of Goa to control the stray animal population, so that those that are alive are well fed and looked after, and face the prospect of living a healthy, happy life ― if possible, in a loving home. We have sterilized 500 cats and 750 dogs till date.
2. We feed close to 60 stray animals, and support other feeders with food
3. We offer first aid for animal rescue and medical care for rescued animals, foster and help get them adopted
4. We create awareness, spread knowledge, and support animal lovers in taking care of animals around them
We have a team of dedicated and passionate people who work tirelessly against all odds to help us achieve this. Since there is no government funding for cat sterilisation, we pay for not only the surgery but also the pre op and post surgery care we provide. For our weekly sterilisation program, we provide pre op and post surgery care to over 70 cats monthly. Our fuel bills are very high, as we travel long distances if needed to trap strays for sterilisation, and also take them to AWBI certified NGOs for surgery. We also foster injured stray cats and dogs which raise up huge food and medical bills.
Additionally, the salaries of our staff, which includes professional trappers, para vets and a full time cleaning help, the cost of our space, food for our feeding programs, and countless number of people we help who can’t afford medical care for their cats and dogs all add up to around 2 lakh Rupees a month. We will be happy to show you our books of accounts to those seriously interested in supporting us, and you can email us for the same.
We have been dipping into our personal pockets and those of our close friends and family members but now we are at the end of our rope. We have been barely scraping by, and are struggling to cover our monthly expenditure. We don’t have a steady flow of funds in order to carry out our work, since we are not supported by any corpus or government support.
Countless kittens and puppies get dumped everyday, so many of them die on the streets of disease, malnutrition and accidents. Our sterilisation program is vital in supporting community animal feeders, by ensuring the populations don’t grow and they are able to effectively provide food and medical care to the animals they support. Without sterilisation, there is absolutely no other humane solution to controlling the stray populations. Sterilisation ensures that the animals who are alive get the best possible support, and countless stray kittens and puppies don’t die. Your support helps us provide these strays a good quality of life.
We completely rely on the kindness in the hearts of people like YOU to help us. We would be extremely grateful if you could support our endeavour for at least the next year. The success of this fundraiser will help us focus on the work we do without constantly worrying about how to pay our bills.
We don’t want to stop the work we do due to lack of funds. Every bit of help from you will empower us to continue the work we do for animals. We request all you animal lovers to donate anything you can afford to and help us continue our efforts of animal welfare.
If you are an animal lover who is unable to actually be on ground and do the hard work that we do, adopt from shelters and fosters. If you can’t adopt, foster and help save lives.
