The unprecedented outbreak of covid in 2020 brought the entire world to a standstill. The central and state governments scrambled to contain the pandemic, improve health infrastructure and salvage the economy by announcing various welfare schemes. While a lot of measures were implemented on war-footing and there was a nation-wide lockdown, 280 million children lost their opportunity to go to school. Millions of children in rural and Urban areas were stranded with barely any means to continue their education. A devastating second wave in 2021 didn’t help the cause.

Gradually, schools have started re-opening now and the children are getting back to the classrooms. Amidst fears of further spread of the corona virus and other diseases and concerns for the safety of the children, schools - rural government schools in particular - are struggling to increase the student counts.

We request your help in getting 1500 of these children back to schools by helping them with their school bags, uniforms and books. Together we can help these children of artisans, farm labourers, daily wage workers, weavers, etc. have one less thing to worry about and get back to school and complete their education.

While the target is to raise Rs. 8 lakhs, any contribution - no matter how small or big it is - would make a meaningful difference to their lives.
