Remembering Amar Agarwal

The unfortunate death of 38-year-old social worker and RTI activist who fought relentlessly for the rights of the citizens of India, has shocked the nation.

COVID-19 took him away from us

Amar was a student of St' Joseph's High School, Wadala, Mumbai and is fondly remembered by all his friends.

Amar left behind his wife and a 12 year old son, Master Daksh Agarwal.

Amar's last words in our group chat was "I am very worried about my 12 year old son Daksh"

We hope to raise Rs.25,000,00 to secure the future of Daksh and for his education.

The corpus collected here will be made into a Secure Deposit / Fixed Deposit with a lock-in in a Government Owned Bank in India and in future, maybe encashed only by his son and that too, only for his son's education (when the son turns 18 years old).

Any donations towards securing the family of this great human being is welcome and deeply appreciated.

PS: Amar and I studied together at the St' Joseph High School, Wadala, Mumbai from 1985 to 1997.

His story was covered by Times of India. Here is the reference link below:
