Altrin Joshua is an 18-year-old living in Chennai who is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Arts at Loyola College, Chennai. He is suffering from a known case of Chronic Kidney Disease and is on hemodialysis since June 2020. 

He is being evaluated for a living donor kidney transplant and his mother has agreed to be the donor. Altrin loves music and cricket and by studying and working hard, he wants to become an IAS officer so he can help and change people’s lives for the better.

Altrin has been going through dialysis for the past three years and now, due to an emergency, his doctors have advised him to undergo kidney transplant surgery. The approximate cost of transplant surgery, investigations, immunosuppression medications, and hospitalization will be approximately Rs.8,50,000/-( Eight Lakh Fifty Thousand Rupees). Post-transplant follow-up investigations and immunosuppression medications would cost around Rs.25,000/- per month. 

The total approximate expenses towards transplantation surgery and initial follow-up for 6 months would be around Rs. 10,00,000/- to 10,50,000/-.
