For all the dogs living on roads, one small accident can turn their lives upside down.  A guy drove over a dog and did not even care to stop to see if she survived. Well, she did not. I don't think it mattered to him but there were four puppies waiting for their mother on the road that was their home. Unaware of the turn of events, they did not realize how their world turned upside down. Soon, other adult dogs around the area were after them. With no one to protect these children, their numbers started reducing. From 4 they were down to 1 in some time. The only female puppy who survived out of the four was found walking behind wanderers in our neighborhood park, scared and confused. This was her only way of protecting herself from the big dogs. My 3-year-old son saw her and started walking behind her. We then noticed that other strays were waiting for an opportunity to corner her. We knew it would be a long day for her, if not her last.




We picked her, she was starved and had a lot of ticks. We fed her, treated her, got her vaccinated. She turned out to be an angel. We named her Roadie.

Despite the repeated adoption requests on various channels we did not receive any response. ANY RESPONSE.







We have tried for months now but could not find a family for her. A place she can call HOME. A certain bias for Indies and female may have been the reason for all the neglect she has faced. We are now left with fewer option but to look out for International adoption.

Total: 40,000(her monthly boarding charges in India are not part of this)

She is now on a quest to reach her forever home in New Jersey. A home where she is safe, a home where she is loved and treated like the angel she is..
