Hi I am student of Biology who got selected as a delegate at the very reputed Wilkes college in Washington, USA.I am a first-generation student and the first in my family to go to college. As my parents are not well g Financial able , So my parents have to accept low-paying work. My father is an farmer, and my mother is a housekeeper. They earn just enough to pay our living expenses and put food on the table, so I’ve always known they could not help me pay for college.
So I’ve been proactive about earning and saving my own money. Since age 11, I’ve worked odd jobs (like typewriter & freelance poster making & store keeper). At age 16, I started working at the mall after school and on weekends. Through all these jobs, I’ve saved. But even with my financial aid grants, I need to pay more than I have per year to go to college. I personally have faced a number of struggles, especially in the last four years. In my last year of high school. Due to the medical expenses and debt, we were forced to move out of our home and it depleted our savings. It has made affording college extremely difficult.This fundraiser will absolutely help me afford school & college financial aid services and reach for my academic and career goals. So I believe I deserve this fund because it will help me achieve my future plans and long-term goals. By furthering my education in biology, I can work towards my career goals in the medical field. I aim to make a difference in my community and devotes me to the nation, and this fund will absolutely be the difference-maker when it comes to affording the education I need to do that and give back in the future.
