An innovative educational initiative, a Sarvoday school for Multiple Intelligence is starting at Vinoba Bhave's birthplace, Gagode in Raigad Dist. of Maharashtra. The school is based on Gandhi - Vinoba's Nayee Taleem educational Philosophy. The education in the school is envisaged to be value based, life related and focused on productive skills.

The school will have maximum duration on hands on, life skill development activities connecting them meaningfully and effectively with the academic subjects - Maharashtra Board Curriculum and addressing multiple intelligence present in every individual. The overall pedagogy will be uniquely and creatively designed and surely will come out to be a successful effective model of schooling. 

The running year is 125th birth anniversary year of Bharatratna Achary Vinoba Bhave and we wish to start the school on this occasion, at his birth place. We feel that this would be a live memorial of his educational thoughts and ideas in the form of the proposed Sarvoday school of Multiple Intelligence.
The funds are needed for repairing a building for the school. At present, the campus has activities like organic farming, cow caring etc. which could definitely be a meaningful educational resource for the school. In the same campus, there is an old building which was initially a training centre cum pictorial life story exhibition, which needs to be repaired as a school building. The expected cost for repairing is Rs 5,00,000 - basically for changing the roof and making cow dung flooring, without changing the basic structure at present. We wish to keep the building as simple and eco friendly as possible by making basic need based provisions. We believe that true education does not need any expensive material, what is important is the activity based, creative learning process and learning - friendly environment.
