''I teach to help my kids be whoever they want to be" was my answer to the question "Why do you teach?", asked during one of the sessions at Institute. Its been three months since and my belief in everything I said then has just grown more robust with each passing day and the credit goes entirely to my girls.
I teach a bunch of 55 Quirky little 6th graders in a government School in Sangam Vihar. Talking about Sangam Vihar, it actually holds a mini-world of its own. It has its own everyday challenges which go beyond your or my imagination. But the moment I enter my classroom, despite all what goes on in the community, all which my girls bring me is a wave of exuberance and unflagging positivity.
My girls are like these little balls of energy who are courageous enough to stand up for what they believe in. I have seen them building dreams which, sometimes, we are scared of having. Pinky, one of my students, wants to fight for Women rights because she doesn't want other girls to face the kind of discrimination she did just because she belonged to a particular gender.
The fact that their present circumstances are not favorable enough has never deterred them from thinking of a brighter and better future for themselves and their families. All of them have, I believe, not
only the strength but also the required potential to conquer their dreams and wishes.

But there is no denying that their families and schools don't have the bandwidth to provide them with the resources that they need to reach to their maximum potential.
This is why I have started this fundraiser for my girls. Every contribution from your side, whether small or big, can help them get one step closer to their maximum potential. Every penny that you contribute will help them gain access to resources that they need on an everyday basis to enhance their learning levels, be it something as small as a colored sheet or something as big as a projector. I really hope that you guys will contribute and help my girls be the best version of themselves.
P.S. Skip that next burger or coffee that you were going to have, instead spread some joy by contributing.
